This is a great board game place near Shibuya! Amazing staff with humor and hospitality! We visited two times during our visit as it was one of the trip’s highlights!! We interacted and chatted with tree of the staff, including the owner! All of them were super friendly! The bar also has a very generous all you can drink option which is very nice to have when playing board games! They are also able with whip up some food, which is super nice when playing games for longer sessions.

Came here two years ago on travel and the community has grown so much since then. Fun events, great people, and all around good times! Whether you're on international travel, a local, a beginner, or an expert of board games there is most certainly something for everyone here. The system of this shop is an absolute bargain and is even cheaper if you reserve in advance online. I would recommend the all you can drink menu if you plan on staying for a couple of hours Check out the meetup page for events related to board games and Japanese culture like sakura flower viewings, takoyaki parties, language exchange events and more.

DyCE was nothing short of phenomenal! Top tier service Lots of great snacks and food options Unlimited drinks Excellent variety of games to play My wife and I decided to go to Shibuya on a bit of a whim. It was fun wondering the city but it wasn't quite living up to the hype we had heard. Then we kind of stumbled into DyCE by accident when looking for food, and I couldn't be happier that we did. DyCE was easily the highlight of Shibuya for us, and I'm sure it will be for our trip to Japan in general. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even explaining the rules to a game for us when we couldn't read the instructions. It was a very comfortable atmosphere and everything you would want in a board game cafe. I look forward to returning again before our trip is over and each time we come back to Japan.

If you’re looking for a chill, diverse bar with great vibes and awesome food, this is the place! DyCE has a very cozy atmosphere. A friend and I stopped by this place for the first time and I was a bit nervous coming in, but once we walked in, the owner, Marina, was very welcoming and super friendly! She was very accommodating and even played some board games with us. She is also fluent in Japanese and English, so we didn’t have a hard time communicating and even met others that speak English as well. It truly is a great place to hang out and meet new people. Everyone here we met was super nice and friendly. In addition, they have a wide variety of board games from different countries. The ones we played were super fun and easy to get into. Her collection is really impressive. To top it off, the food and drinks were delicious! We had the cheese bacon pizza and it was amazing! If that isn’t enough, just go in and see for yourself, and I promise you won’t regret it.

Great board game cafe in Shibuya. Host was very helpful in explaining the game we chose and spoke fluent English and Japanese. They had a ton of good games to choose from and the atmosphere was cozy. You have to order a drink per person (or some food) but they had a decent variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. My only advice is to put the white wine bottle in the fridge so it’s cold. :)
